Transformasi Narko-Terorisme: Dari Kejahatan Ekonomi ke Ancaman Ideologis terhadap Kedaulatan Indonesia
Abstrak
The phenomenon of narco-terrorism in Indonesia reflects a form of transnational crime rooted in the convergence of illicit economic interests and violent ideologies. Empirical analysis in Gorontalo found that narcotics networks have become a strategic instrument for extremist groups to obtain funding and expand their ideological influence through illicit trafficking and radicalization mechanisms within correctional institutions. This study uses empirical legal methods with a descriptive qualitative approach and a theoretical framework of organized crime, terrorist financing, and national security to explain the symbiotic relationship between the two entities. The results indicate that narco-terrorism has transformed into a hybrid crime with an adaptive, non-hierarchical network, involving a combination of economic rationality and ideological legitimacy. In a policy context, this study recommends a national strategy based on cross-agency coordination, strengthening financial intelligence, correctional reform, and public education to break the chain of funding, ideology, and social support that sustain narco-terrorism in Indonesia.
